Resources
Please feel free to use any of the resources below to help support your child at home, or just for some extra practice. Some of these will be things we have done or are doing in class, as well as additional sources for those who want to explore subjects further!

3-D Map Examples
Below are some examples of 3-D map models using different materials, techniques, and styles. There are also examples of different ways information can be displayed on a map, beyond using a legend.
The Canadian Encyclopedia
Great website for research on all things Canadian!
First Peoples of Canada Website
Great source of information on the indigenous peoples of Canada.
Word Work Resources
Below is a link to a Google Docs folder, which contains some of the grammar and reading comprehension practice we have been doing in class each morning (including capitals, punctuation, paragraphing, etc.). These can be printed off and practiced at home. Please keep in mind we are still working on these in class, and it is expected that even if you've done it at home, you will need to do it again in class with us (a little extra practice doesn't hurt, eh?).
