Week number two is finished! We will be in school for 5 days next week.
Today, we learned about our "magic numbers" (numbers that are important to us-- like our birthdates), played a new game in French (four corners!), had a dance party, and finished our day with a grade one sing-along!
Volunteer opportunity - September 18 - I will need at least two parent volunteers for the Terry Fox Run. You will help us walk to the ridge, then walk/run with the children and then walk back to the school
If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected]
Mail Pockets:
No new notices were sent home, so mail pockets remained at school.
Please and Thank You:
Please return all school forms, volunteer forms, and coupon book packages (whether ordering or not) at your earliest convenience.
If you have spare phonebooks at home, please consider sending them in (ideally, two stacked together and wrapped in duct tape, please and thank you!). We use these as a tool for children's seated posture, as many of the students' feet don't yet reach the ground in grade one.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Room 8 is still seeking one or two classroom coordinators! If you are interested, please let me know and send in your pink form so that I can forward it to Parent Council.
We need at least 2 volunteers for the Terry Fox Run Friday morning.
If you are interested in helping detach, sort and staple scholastic orders, please let me know (can go home with your child)
