This morning we added five new words to our word wall-- look, soon, school, too, and good! We then had literacy centres, followed by a quick subitizing math activity on the Smart Board! We got to try out the fancy microphone headsets in Francais today, which we will be using to record more IRIS videos in the future! We had a fabulous grade one dance party-- it had been so long since our last one! We finished the day by cleaning out and organizing our desk drawers!
Field Trip Fees:
Please remember to pay the field trip fees. The notice came home at the end of September. The cost for all the field trips and in-school activities is $88.00. Payment can be made online by credit card as school fees. If online payment does not work for you, you may come in to pay using debit or credit at the office. We have been paying for our field trips so your prompt payment will help us with these fees. If you have any concerns with the lump sum payment, please contact Mrs. Pulfer, ([email protected]).
Mail Pockets:
- Home Reading bags went home if returned
Volunteer Opportunities:
- On November the 24 is our first Arts Commons field trip! If you'd be interested in volunteering, please contact either Jodi ([email protected]) or myself ([email protected]).
- Morning reading volunteers for Monday through Friday from 8:30-9:00.
- Literacy centers are open-curtain with our neighbouring class, so volunteers are much appreciated! On regular weeks (no extra scheduled programs), it is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 11:00 - 11:30, Wednesday 10:30 - 11:00, and Fridays 9:00 - 9:30.
