Highlights:
As the grade 6's were writing their third PAT today, we spent the morning in the gym! After our health lesson, where we learned how pads and tampons work, we read another exciting chapter in our book, "Number the Stars". We spent the rest of the morning with an electricity challenge: building a (functional) electric car! It was quite the challenge, as building a moving vehicle is not as easy as it looks!
Please let me know if you are able to volunteer on Monday morning for our walking field trip to Park 96! We still need 2 volunteers!
Mail:
- Health sheet.
Volunteers for Monday:
As the grade 6's are writing a PAT on Monday (June 18), the grade 5's are going to Park 96 for the morning. We need at least 2 volunteers to come with us that day. If you are able, please email me or our classroom co-ordinator Leanne Black. Thank you!
Butterscotch for the Summer:
Our classroom guinea pig Butterscotch needs a home for the summer! If you would be able to take her (even if just for a few weeks) please email me to let me know! She's cute, and is really nice, honest! Thank you!
Upcoming Dates:
Homework:
- TBA
Daily Challenge:
Research different methods of building a small motor-powered electric car (and how to problem-solve some common "road-blocks" to building)-- it will help you when we continue our cars on Tuesday!
