We began our day with some free writing! The students were allowed to journal about whatever they were interested in-- and afterwards, we played a round of Mystery Author (where I read an entry from one of the journals, and students have to guess whose journal it is). We then did some math puzzling on the Smart Board (working with block chunks of two and three), and finished our morning by starting to create our own puzzles on grid paper! After lunch, we had an amazing conversation about wants and needs, as we realized that not everyone in the world has what they need to live happily and healthily. We also created our own T-charts of what our own personal wants and needs are! We finished the day with some free centres / guided reading time!
Field Trip Fees:
Please remember to pay the field trip fees. The notice came home at the end of September. The cost for all the field trips and in-school activities is $88.00. Payment can be made online by credit card as school fees. If online payment does not work for you, you may come in to pay using debit or credit at the office. We have been paying for our field trips so your prompt payment will help us with these fees. If you have any concerns with the lump sum payment, please contact Mrs. Pulfer, ([email protected]).
Mail Pockets:
- Home Reading bags went home if returned
- Mr. Zinger's Hat (a free book to read at home!)
Volunteer Opportunities:
