Highlights:
Welcome back!
Today, we continued to work on our "Ode to Summer" poems, as well as improving our reading skills by Reading to Self for the longest time yet! We also discussed why math is an important part of our lives-- there was so much we could connect to it! We finished our day by learning about the food chain and challenged ourselves to organize a wetland's food chain as a class!
Great books for sale in the Learning Commons!
We will be hosting a Scholastic book fair September 21 & 22 during Meet the Teacher. Students will have an opportunity to view the books during the week. Notices and fliers will be coming home soon.
Mail:
- Terry fox forms (information and pledge)
- Vaccination forms (please send back to school ASAP!)
Upcoming Dates:
Homework:
- No homework! Yay!
Daily Challenge:
Ask your parents-- when (and how) do they use math in their lives?
