Highlights:
- Today, the grade 5's started a new project on "Who is the Greatest Canadian?"
- The grade 6's compared Iroquois Confederacy and Canadian Democracy
- We had a blast in gym with the Alien Inline skating program! (Our next session is on Wednesday!)
- We started a new unit in math-- Geometry! We learned about the 6 different types of triangles! (click this link to see a catchy video that describes them all!)
It is "Bike to School Day" tomorrow-- please remember to wear your helmet when you ride, and park your bike vertically in the stalls (or else we won't have enough room for everyone's bikes!)
Alien Inline This Week:
HELMETS & HYGIENE
Alien In-Line provides certified helmets, but for best hygiene and comfort we suggest that each participant bring in his or her own certified helmet. Don’t forget to label your helmet.
Please remember to bring socks!
Mail:
- No new mail.
Upcoming Dates:
Homework:
- Triangle Definition Foldable (if not finished in class)
- (click this link to see a catchy video that describes them all!)
Daily Challenge:
Today, we learned about the different ways we can classify triangles. Have your parents draw a triangle-- can you tell them what type it is? (equilateral? isosceles? scalene? acute? right? obtuse?).
