Highlights:
Welcome back everyone! This morning, we discussed the question "what is peace?" and talked about what we thought peace meant to us. We also watched a video around Remembrance day and had the option to either write a letter to a veteran or a reflection on the video. We then learned about "Work on Words" for our next round of daily 5! In the afternoon, we had our last class period to work on our science wetlands projects (we will be presenting our projects to the class on Wednesday!). We finished the day with music!
Halloween:
Tomorrow is Halloween! You may wear your costume all day (no need for a change of clothes); however, the actual "party" will be in the afternoon at 1:45. Please make sure any weapons or large costume pieces (e.g. a staff) stay at home and do not come to school.
Mail:
- No new mail.
Upcoming Dates:
Homework:
- Veteran letters (if you wrote one) will be due in class tomorrow so we can send them all at the same time!
Coming Up:
- Science Wetlands duo-tangs will be handed in this week!
- Science Wetlands project is due Wednesday! We will be presenting these to the class, so be prepared to talk about your application!
- Classroom Government campaign manager speech will be given next Wednesday! Make sure you have practiced your speech!
- Classroom Government Elections-- November 6th is the deadline for your campaign poster and speeches (which will be given that week)-- don't leave writing your speech to the last minute!
Daily Challenge:
What does "peace" mean to you? Why is it important?
