Highlights of the Day:
We began our day by reviewing our writing target, and choosing one goal to focus on in our writing (e.g. using finger-spaces, printing with lower-case letters, etc.). We then had some time to write in our journals about a topic of our choice. After recess, we had Literacy Centres, followed by phys ed. (where we practiced serving a birdie over a net!) After lunch, we had Free Centres! We finished our day by learning about objects that are transparent (can see through it), translucent (can see light, but not details of things through it), and opaque (solid, can't see through it).
Please and Thank You / Volunteer Opportunities:
- We would love to have morning reading volunteers to share books with students one-on-one, from 8:30-9:00 any day that it works for you!
- We would very much appreciate volunteers during literacy centers: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:45 - 11:30, and Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 - 9:30. Thanks for considering!
