Highlights of the Day:
We started our day with a special guest, Mrs. Lorway! She is a math expert (artist in residence) who is working a Prince of Wales over the next little while. We learned that math is more than "just numbers" as we sorted, explored and puzzled with "chunks" of 1, 2, and 3 squares! After that, we had another special guest (returning star Mrs. Wood) who read us a story about an undersea adventure! After recess, we read a new poem "I like, I can" and put it into our sunflower-yellow poetry duo-tangs.
In phys ed we played "Keep it Moving" and "Clean Up Your Backyard." It was challenging to roll the balls instead of kicking them! In the afternoon the students enjoyed Music, followed by another special presentation in room 10 about how to be more "mindful". What an exciting day!

Daily Challenge:
We learned with Mrs. Lorway that "puzzling" is a very important part of doing math! What is a way you do puzzling (exploring how things fit together) in your everyday life? (It could be when you are playing, working, anything!). Why is it important?
