This morning we started our day with some "back" writing to practice our flagpole letters (a fun activity where we write the letters on each others' backs), after which we had library. After recess, we learned that maps can show more than just where things are-- they can show the connections and relationships between things. After reading "My Map Book", we created maps of our families, showing the connections between us and our close family members. In gym, we played several different tag games! After lunch, we had French with Mme. Pallesen (remember to check out her blog!), and a return visit from our special guest Mrs. Lorway!
Have fun and enjoy your long weekend!
Mail Pockets:
-No new notices today, so mail pockets stayed at school.
Please and Thank You:
- Please return all school forms, volunteer forms, and coupon book packages (whether ordering or not) at your earliest convenience.
- If you have spare phonebooks at home, please consider sending them in (ideally, two stacked together and wrapped in duct tape, please and thank you!). We use these as a tool for children's seated posture, as many of the students' feet don't yet reach the ground in grade one.
