Today, we learned more about the history of Orange Shirt Day, residential schools and why it is an issue still relevant today. We began a project for Orange Shirt Day that we will be finishing tomorrow. We enjoyed music with Mrs. Dennill before lunch, as well as learning a new way to play dodgeball in gym (tornado dodgeball!) In the afternoon, we reflected on our field trip to Fish Creek Park yesterday, and continued working on our math pre-assessments. We also learned a new math game: "Beat My Number!" in which we used our knowledge of place value to help us strategize how to win!
