We began our morning with an activity (and discussion) about the power of positive thinking (and how negative thinking can bring us and our friends down)! We then created a visual journal response to our field trip, where we showed what we liked, what we were challenged by, and what we wondered about the Arts Commons. After recess, we discussed the question "How many colours are there in the world?". At first, we thought there were only 6 or 7 (the colours of the rainbow) and all the others were just tints and shades of those colours. As we experimented (by mixing colours with paint) we changed our theory, as we discovered there are probably infinite variations of colours. After lunch, we made videos of ourselves counting in French! We finished our day by meeting our grade four buddies for the first time, and drawing their self-portraits!
