Highlights of the Day:
We began our morning with some Literacy Centres, followed by Library. After recess, we had some fun playing board games and reading with our grade four buddies! In phys ed., we had a fantastic time with the various gymnastic equipment! After lunch, we had fun in Francais with Mme. Pallesen, and then explored currency and equivalencies with our Cuisenaire rods in Math! We finished the day in our last Senses Science Centres!
Gymnastics Safety
This month the students are enjoying gymnastics in phys ed! Please send children with long hair either pulled back, or with a hair elastic, Monday through Thursday. It is recommended that students go barefoot during gymnastics, unless there are medical concerns, such as foot fungus. In those cases, sturdy running shoes are recommended. Students will be most successful in moveable, comfortable clothing. Dangling jewelry and accessories are a safety concern and will need to be removed during the activity period. Thank you for your support!
Please and Thank You / Volunteer Opportunities:
- We would love to have morning reading volunteers to share books with students one-on-one, from 8:30-9:00 any day that it works for you!
- We would very much appreciate volunteers during literacy centers: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:45 - 11:30, and Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 - 9:30. Thanks for considering!
Mail Pockets:
- No new mail today.
- Home Reading bags went home if returned.
