Highlights of the Day:
It was wonderful to see how many boys and girls came to school today dressed like a teacher! We began our morning with some Literacy Centres (I am so impressed at how well the class is doing at finishing their centres this week!) We then wrote our January writing sample-- I was dumbfounded by how amazing a job everyone did! The growth from September is incredible! After recess, we had Music, followed by phys ed. After our "Fun Lunch", we all did a self-assessment sheet, where we assessed how well we deal with problems and work together with our peers. We finished the day with some much anticipated Free Centres!
Please and Thank You / Volunteer Opportunities:
- We would love to have morning reading volunteers to share books with students one-on-one, from 8:30-9:00 any day that it works for you!
- We would very much appreciate volunteers during literacy centers: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:45 - 11:30, and Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 - 9:30. Thanks for considering!
