Highlights of the Day:
We began our day with a wacky morning message (including lots of splelling mistaks) and Literacy Centres! We then had some computer time, where we chose one artifact to create a video about and upload to Iris. After recess, we had music, followed by phys ed! After lunch, we learned a fun new math song "10 buddies" that will help us remember what numbers add up to 10! We then discussed as a class what a good story needs: a beginning, a problem to be solved, and a solution to the problem! We then wrote our own stories in our journals. We finished the day with free centres!
Please and Thank You / Volunteer Opportunities:
- We would love to have morning reading volunteers to share books with students one-on-one, from 8:30-9:00 any day that it works for you!
- We would very much appreciate volunteers during literacy centers: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:45 - 11:30, and Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 - 9:30. Thanks for considering!

Daily Challenge:
Today, we learned about "10 buddies" numbers. Play a game with your family: one person holds up a number with their fingers (using both hands), and the other person has to say as quickly as they can how many fingers are missing! (e.g. If one person held up three fingers, the other person would say "seven!").
