This morning, we got a chance to be "mini historians" and analyze a pictures from the past. We used evidence, as well as our background knowledge, to come up with a theory of what we thought the pictures was about! We then learned that it was actually depicting the signing of treaty 7, which we will be seeing tomorrow on our field trip! In the afternoon, we were very lucky to gave a hearing specialist in with us, who gave us the "unfair spelling test" which simulated what it might be like to be deaf or hard of hearing! We then practiced determining the place value of decimal numbers!
Fort Calgary field trip TOMORROW. We will be OUTSIDE in the afternoon. Please come prepared for the weather. We are also asked to bring along INDOOR shoes. Please ensure you have an appropriate lunch for tomorrow!
