Today, (due to the rainy weather) we had a blue day. This means that the children can come into the school before the bell and hang up their coats and wait in the hallway by their classroom door until the bell rings for school to start. There will be a warning bell inside (teacher bell) and then the bell that would ring inside and outside. The children did go outside for the morning recess as it did not start to rain until just before the bell rang. For the lunch recess, the grade 1-3's went to the gym to watch a movie.
Highlights of the Day:
Today we had a very special guest come and read with us, my mom, Mrs. Wood! We also learn a fun new math game called Bump! (we didn't quite get to play it, but we will be ready for tomorrow!). We also had another grade one superstorm, and learned about Canadian hero Terry Fox! We finished the day by writing about our own dreams and goals and how we are all like Terry Fox.

Please and Thank You:
Please return all school forms, volunteer forms, and coupon book packages (whether ordering or not) at your earliest convenience.
If you have spare phonebooks at home, please consider sending them in (ideally, two stacked together and wrapped in duct tape, please and thank you!). We use these as a tool for children's seated posture, as many of the students' feet don't yet reach the ground in grade one.
